Try this tasty recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough bites. No bake, no egg recipe.

Hello and welcome!  I wanted to make something a little different for Mother’s Day.  So I whipped up these chocolate chip cookie dough bites and stuck them in the freezer.  We are planning a “grill and chill” for Mother’s Day. These will be the perfect treat.

We have some cookie dough lovers in the family.  I have a feeling these won’t last very long!

This is a no-bake recipe with no eggs.  There is cream cheese, however.  I used a modification of the well-known cream cheese mints recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

The process for these chocolate chip cookie dough bites takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours to make and form.  This batch made about 12 dozen, but it really depends on the size of your molds.

Supplies

  • Heart molds or other candy molds

You can find the heart mold and other candy molds on Amazon.  Or at your local craft store, JoAnn’s or Michael’s.

Instruction & Recipe Tips

Start by mixing the cream cheese until smooth.

Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.  Blend until smooth.

Add 1 cup of mini chocolate chips.  Fold them into the dough.

Next, take about a teaspoon of the mixture and roll into a ball.  Roll in white sugar.  Then press into the candy mold.

Remove and place on wax or parchment paper to dry for about an hour.  Then refrigerate.

I don’t let the cream cheese sit out very long, even though I’ve heard it’s ok when mixed with that much sugar.

You can also try adding mint flavoring and green gel food coloring for mint chocolate chip cookie dough bites.  Yum!

  3. Gradually mix in the 2 pounds of powdered sugar, one cup at a time.
  4. Add 1 cup of mini chocolate chips. Fold them in to the dough.
  5. Next, take about a teaspoon of the mixture and roll into a ball. Roll in white sugar. Then press into the candy mold.
  6. Remove and place on wax or parchment paper to dry for about an hour.
  7. Then refrigerate.

Notes

Rolling the cookie dough mixture in sugar will help you remove it from the candy molds.
