Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Tired of searching for a good store-bought teriyaki sauce? Make your own in minutes!  It's perfect for stir-fries, as a marinade for grilled chicken or salmon, or even as a dipping sauce.

What You'll Need

✓ Soy sauce ✓ Brown sugar ✓ Rice vinegar ✓ Pineapple juice

✓ Garlic ✓ Ginger ✓ Cornstarch ✓ Water

In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce and brown sugar.

Add in the rice vinegar, pineapple juice, garlic, and ginger to the saucepan. Heat the mixture to a gentle boil.

Mix water and cornstarch to make a slurry. Add it to the saucepan.

Bring the sauce to a boil again until it thickens visibly.

Remove from heat. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools. Serve immediately or store for later.
