How to Melt Chocolate Chips: 3 Easy Methods

Whether you're using melted chocolate for dipping fruit or drizzling on baked goods – it needs to be smooth and creamy.  Here are 3 easy methods to melt chocolate chips like a pro!


Microwave Method

Place chips in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute, stir, then repeat in short 15-30 second increments until the chocolate is smooth.


Stovetop Method

Simmer water in a pot and rest a bowl on top. Add chips and melt them with the indirect heat. Stir until smooth.


Slow Cooker Method

Add chips to mason jars and place in a crock-pot, half-submerged in water. Slow melt until the chocolate is smooth.
