Ingredients
Scale
- 8 c. dry roasted peanuts (about 36 oz.)
- 48 oz. almond bark (2 packages)
- 1 1/2 c. green M&Ms, divided (about 11 oz.)
- 2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1/2 c. holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- Add the peanuts to a slow cooker.
- Carefully chop apart the almond bark using a knife and then add on top of the peanuts.
- Cook on low, stirring after 30 minutes and 1 hour.
- Continue to cook and stir every 15 minutes until it’s melted and smooth. (Our total cook time is typically 1 hour 15 minutes.)
- Turn off the slow cooker and allow the candy mixture to cool off so it’s warm but not hot.
- Mix in 1 cup of M&Ms and all of the marshmallows.
- Spoon by heaping tablespoon onto wax or parchment paper.
- Top with one green M&M and sprinkles on each. (If you have extra M&Ms, you can add more.)
- Allow to set (20 to 30 minutes).
- Serve and enjoy! Or store for later.
Notes
- Important: 1) do not overcook the candy mixture; it could cause the white chocolate to get clumpy and harden too soon, and 2) wait to add the mix-ins until the candy is no longer hot. Otherwise this could melt the M&Ms and marshmallows and change the color and texture of the candy.
- Storage: store the candies in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge or freezer.
- Variations: feel free to get creative with the mix-ins by adding lucky charms, caramel bits, chopped pretzels, or different types of chocolate.
