Delicious brats baked in the oven for a simple meal or dinner party idea.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Uncooked bratwursts
  • Brat buns, sausage rolls, or hot dog buns
  • Toppings, if preferred

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F.
  2. Prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up. We love to use the pre-cut parchment sheets.
  3. Place the uncooked brats on the prepared baking sheet, leaving room between them to ensure even cooking (at least 1/2 to 1 inch of space).
  4. Place on your oven rack and roast for 10 minutes on the first side.
  5. Then flip each bratwurst and cook for an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Or until the brats reach an internal temperature of 160°F for pork or beef sausages. (165°F for turkey or chicken variations)
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes, using foil to loosely cover and keep warm.
  7. Serve the bratwurst on sausage rolls with your favorite brat toppings; find a huge list of brat toppings here.
