  • Cake mix: white cake mix. We used the Betty Crock super moist mix.
  • Eggs: large eggs.
  • Oil: vegetable oil.
  • Food coloring: neon colors work great. We used orange, purple, and green.
  • Sprinkles: sugar sprinkles and a Halloween sprinkle mix.
  • Powdered sugar: this is an optional way to decorate the cookies.

Decoration options: We used 3 separate colors and 3 different ways to decorate (sugar sprinkles, powdered sugar, and a Halloween sprinkle mix); you can do as many or as few as you like.

Let’s Make Halloween Sprinkles Cookies

Follow the steps below to make these colorful holiday treats.

Preheat oven.

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Mix Ingredients.

Add cake mix, eggs, and oil to a medium bowl. Mix until combined, but do not overmix.

Add food coloring.

Divide the batter into separate bowls and mix in food coloring (neon works great). You can also stick to one color if you’d like.

Measure out dough and coat in sprinkles.

Place the sprinkles and/or powdered sugar in small bowls. Measure out a tablespoon (we use a cookie scoop) of dough and drop into sprinkles to coat. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Add Eyeballs.

Right after removing from the oven, carefully place the candy eyeballs onto the cookies.
